Your donations provided ~100 Foster Youth with everything they needed to move into their Dorm rooms at UCLA. The students were so appreciative!

Hundreds of individuals donated and your generosity enabled us to give every student:

  • Sheets, blankets, pillow, mattress pad, bath towels

  • Laundry Bag, Laundry Detergent, Hangers

  • Power strip, Lamp, and Fan (most dorms have no AC)

  • UCLA baseball hat, T-shirt, blanket, travel mug

  • Notebooks, Pens, Pencils, Highlighters

  • Pizza, Subway, Coffee Bean gift cards & snack bags (the kids run out of cafeteria 'swipes' during vacations)

  • Wall decals for decorating their dorm room

  • Shower Caddy and Toiletries: Soap & Soap Case, Shampoo & Conditioner, Toothpaste, Toothbrush & Cover, Razors, Shaving Cream, Tampons, Pads, Panty liners, Deodorant, Advil, Chapstick, Cold Medicine, Bandaids, Face Wipes, Purell

Huge thanks to our corporate donors: Brentwood Home, Coffee Bean, eSalon, LevTex Home, Matteo LA, Pfizer, Trader Joe’s, UBM, UnderArmour, Zephyr Hats.

UCLA Bruin Guardian Scholars Program serves 140 current and former Foster youth who attend UCLA. These students have overcome barriers such as homelessness, family mental health issues, and abuse throughout their lives and are extremely resilient. This program builds a community of peers who have faced similar challenges in life.

First year college students who have experienced homelessness & foster care receive unexpected love and support on move-in day.
